What the warranty means
If paint we applied starts to peel, blister or chip within 2 years of finishing your project, and the cause is our workmanship, we come back and fix it. That covers interior and exterior painted vertical surfaces: walls, ceilings, siding, trim and doors.
Most paint failures trace back to preparation, which is why we spend so much of every job scraping, sanding, patching and priming. The warranty is our way of standing behind that prep work. It does not cover what paint cannot control, like water getting behind siding or a house settling.
What’s covered
- Peeling, blistering or chipping paint caused by defective workmanship
- Interior and exterior painted vertical surfaces: walls, ceilings, siding, trim, doors
- Repairs to the affected areas, prepared to the same level as the original job
To keep the warranty valid
- The contract price has been paid in full
- You keep your contract and proof of payment
- You cover the paint and materials used for the repair
- You give our crew access to the area that needs repair
What’s not covered
- Horizontal surfaces: decks, railings, stairs, porch floors, roofs and wood gutters
- Varnished or clear-coated surfaces and galvanized metal
- Work done by others, or jobs where the customer supplied the materials
- Cracks in drywall, plaster or wood, and cracks from the house settling
- Damage from moisture, leaks, mildew, impact, misuse or normal wear and tear
- Storms, floods, fire and other acts of nature
- An exact color match on touch-ups, since paint ages and fades
- The cost of paint and materials for warranty repairs

How a warranty repair works
- 1
Tell us early
Call or text (978) 440-2251 as soon as you notice a problem. Small issues are easier to fix when they are caught early.
- 2
Show us what you see
Describe the area and send a few photos. Keep your contract and proof of payment handy.
- 3
We inspect
We come out, look at the surface and confirm whether the cause is workmanship or something outside the warranty.
- 4
We repair it
Covered areas are prepared and repainted to the same standard as the original job, on a date that works for you.
Any extension or change to these terms is valid only in writing.
Insurance
Covered on every job, since 2016
Workers’ compensation protects you if someone on our crew gets hurt at your house. Liability insurance covers accidental damage to your property. Ask for a certificate of insurance and it comes with your written estimate.
FAQ
Warranty questions
Still have a question? Call or text us anytime.
How long is your painting warranty?
Our painting work carries a 2-year limited workmanship warranty from the date the project is completed. Carpentry on items we remove and reinstall, such as shutters or trim boards, is covered for 4 months.
What does the warranty cover?
Peeling, blistering or chipping paint caused by defective workmanship on painted vertical surfaces, inside or outside. We repair the affected area, prepared to the same level as the original job.
Does the warranty cover deck staining?
No. Decks, railings, stairs, porch floors and other horizontal surfaces take direct sun, standing water and foot traffic, so stain and paint on them wear on their own schedule. We explain the maintenance cycle for your deck in the estimate.
What can void the warranty?
Unpaid balances, work by other contractors on the same surfaces, and damage from moisture, leaks, impact or misuse. Cracks from the house settling and normal wear are not workmanship defects.
Do I pay anything for a warranty repair?
The labor is on us. Paint and materials for the repair are the homeowner’s cost, and we will tell you up front what the repair needs.
Are you insured?
Yes. Every job is covered by our workers' compensation and liability insurance, and we have been in business since 2016. Ask for a certificate of insurance and we will send it with your estimate.
What about deck building and remodeling projects?
This page covers our painting work. For new decks, kitchens and bathrooms, the warranty terms are written into your project contract so you know exactly what applies before work starts.
